I'm not a fan of HID myself, leave them for the posers in Landrovers ( :twisted: )

I just fit 90/100w bulbs and have done with it. I know they are technically not legal for road use but I've never been stopped for them and I've never failed an MOT because of them.

On a 24 I dont' suppose that would be too bad..

1 bulb.

On a 30 that has two bulbs you'd be taking up 180 watts / 200 watts from the 350watt generator...

the oriignal 35/60 bulbs use only a 1/3 of that power on low beam... i'd make sure you have enough juice!

I still find Philips Xtreme the best H4 standard bulbs you can get.

I though those Osram nightbreakers were ok but they are poor in comparision! And i'm always driving around country lanes in the dark due to where I live.

I got a cheap, pure white bulb it was supposed to be.

From my local motor factors (they know me so got good discount)

It seems brighter so it will do me fine :)

once i have the dosh then i can invest in a brighter bulb again
