inside the main hall is a no dice, the side halls may be a go, but outside under a big tent is more likely
tbh its never going to be a viable money raiser, its always going to be a great meet and maybe spark a bit of interest in the quality 400 bikes still around.
be nice to get a standard one of the main models, and a couple of heavily modded examples. but this would require alot of space and be in excess of 2k for the weekend i think.
be a cracking laugh though i think

Eek....outside, in England, in October!!! :o

Mind you, who's to say June / July would be any better

Ive been waiting for a call from the organisers allday, but no-one has got back to me :?
I tried at dinner, and just now, but no-one seems to be there.

Heres a link to the info.....no prices though. :|

I do think its not gonna be cheap though, and obviously if the club funds cant support, then theres no point in doing this (i dont mind putting in a few quid out my own pocket, but will others  , and i cant blame them if they dont want to either).

Theres a good alternative a bit earlier in the year (Sept), and thats the BMF tailend rally at Lincolnshire Showground....obviously not as good as the Stafford show, but could easily drum up some interest especially with the other clubs in attendance.

Or, another alternative, is to combine an annual meet with a Trackday!
Could even ask PB magazine if we can have the meet at one of their 90's trackdays?

In regards to showing bikes on a stand (if Stafford happened), i shouldnt have any say in the matter as ive not been here anywhere near as long to have a say in this matter :peace:

If the cost is too high we can just cordon off a bit of road leading up to the show and park ALL our bikes there! Lol

From my experience with 106owners club, these things are always a lot of effort to get numbers in and people to prebuy stand passes etc. Always used to do the french car show, took a lot of organising from the club admin.

Great idea though, at least a decent meet there with some numbers would be almost as good if the stand can't be organised for what ever reason. I will leave the organisation in all your capable hands, although I would be more than willing to assist, as generally I do jack all outside of work (if I even have work, ha).
