After 3 years I've actually got the time to rebuild my NC35 so I`ve started unpacking the boxes and checking parts so I can start building tomorrow morning

Swapped the shocks between the bike I've just sold today, and the one I'm building :-) 3h to unbolt and reinstall a stock later model shock and my rs250 one, by suspending it from under my deck :-D

Got the float bowls and emulsions and pilots back from ultrasonic cleaning, just waiting for new jets to arrive to rebuild carbs.
New BT090s arrived
Checked valve clearances and changed plugs.
Tick list is getting shorter by the day, should be on the road by mid May

Rebuilt carbs, with all the usual standard road mods of jets and washers and 2.5mm hole in slide, new gaskets etc.
Mounted them on new rubbers and reconnected the cables.
Having a victory cup of tea when I noticed the idle adjuster cable sitting on my workbench.....after the usual end of the world doom of thinking the carbs were coming off again...realised it will thread on with a bit of patience.

The VFR's been off the road for a year, been riding something else. Time to use her again so fresh fuel in the tank, reconnected the battery, she started and ran well. Stood back to admire, whats that dripping on the floor, bugger, fuel. The rest of the day was spent removing the carbs, (rear right leaking), think I have it sorted, not leaking now. With the carbs off gave that area a good clean, replaced the petrol tap vacuum pipe, it was in poor shape, its a wonder the bike started! Oiled cables, changed oil and filter etc. Just got to put the plastic back on it and check the lights. If alls well will book it in for an MOT next week.

Installed the Samco hoses, rads and coolant, bike fired up on choke and after carb mods, is much smoother on the throttle, starts and idles so much better .
Replaced oil & filter
Stripped down first caliper, cleaned and resealed it.
Hopefully finish calipers and front forks rebuild on Sunday.

Calipers all serviced and rebuilt with new seals
Forks treated to a Rick O road upgrade kit, and new seals and dust covers and back on the bike.
Job sheet getting smaller by the day at about the same ratio my wallet is getting lighter.
Just new Hel lines to go on, new rear shock to install and tyres to be mounted and that hopefully will be that for a while.
