I'm gutted for you. Saving for a house is what has delayed my own NC project. If it's any consolation, when I finsh mine, your welcome to have a blast on it.

Im really sorry to hear this mate, reading your build thread again just shows the effort you put into it and the happiness/success you received from it.
If ever you need to scratch that track itch your welcome to join me at a track and have a go on mine mate as if it wasn't for your NC helpline mine would not be what it is today :worthy:

Thanks guys..

The ballache is that for a couple of years I'll have nothing doing... Once I have sorted the moolah for house out I'll get something else built and fettled.

I'm keeping no9 and that will have a spare set of panels and tank and we'll keep it real that way!

Well..finally got round to the damage.....Expected the worst...and here it goes!

Loose pieces inside the rocker cover.. Pieces of shim, collet and a rocker finger.

Then..

That will be where that valve head is..

Have nearly sold everything now adn the poor old bugger is sitting on the garage floor awaiting the swinger coming out which I have sold.

An emotional thing and when I think on I am gutted I killed it. However, I suppose I learned a lot and the satisfaction of getting the bike out of the van that first time and taking it on track was something special.

I'll make another I am sure..though whether I want to race 400s again is another matter. I'll prob have a TD bike for fun and games.

So..the end is nearly here for this bike. One of my best mates, No136.

I felt the same way when I blew my engine first time out with a new nc30 racebike due to a gear selection mistake.

However, I did learn lots when I pulled it down and built the bike back up. A good thing about these bikes is they go back together just as well as what they come apart. Not all bikes manage that.

Sounds like you need a new love in your life mark to take your mind off old times!! ;)

Gutted to see the nastiness in the motor Mark - RIP No.136. Some good memories of racing with you in early 2010 :)

Hope to see another one being built soon

Cheers Benny - you'll read some good shit in here :)

As I said in PM, there are a few 400 racers still on here - some that still race 400s, some that moved up - Spike16, DX4, bean, hodge28.

These guys will give you al the support I am sure.

It does give me a sad reading this but hey - time flies.. The worst thing is that I am stiull sving for a fucking house deposit..but bloody close now and right now, No9 is sitting close enough to race ready...lol
