you have a jap system? they'll go in as much as they can.

get some pics up.

Also - put it all in 50% tight, then line it up and then get to making it secure

As Mark has said.. some systems don't meet the front headers 100% 'in'. As long as when you assemble it the system is not blowing then it is correct.

My Yamamoto system's front pipes dont' sit 100% into the rear section when comparing to a standard system, it also doesn't have any clamps there like the standard system does.

That sounds like you've cross-threaded it.

Make sure the nuts are on straight before you tighten them up, otherwise you'll strip the thread off. It helps to twist them on by hand, they should turn easy.

The nut would have been difficult to tighten up if it was cross threaded...

Buy a new stud.

i think ive just fixed it.. the new studs that i bought have a smaller thread area for the heads...and it wasnt getting enough grip..so i just used one of the old ones in that thread and it works fine now :P. me and my mates must of ruined some of the threading on the hole when we where trying to remove the broken stud when it was in there.

one more problem guys.. ermm so i got everyhting fitted on ect. but my bike struggles to start. infact it wont start..it coughs up and splutters and just as its about to start it wont...the furthest i got was actually starting...and then cutting of instatnly a second later... dont know whats causing it... although here what i think MIGHT be causing it...when i ws welding the rear exhaust header studs off...i squirted quite a lot of water on to the studs so it could cool down and harden faster....but i MAY have squirted water right inside the engine...would that be the cause for it not starting? if so how the hell can i get the water out :P

how are you trying to start it?

you should have full choke and no throttle.

there is no need for water.
