Thanks, I am so frikkin' close to finishing it that it's killing me. But the next two weekends are booked up with family stuff so it still may be a few weeks. Need to get it registered for the road and then hit the track mid-November. Stay tuned............

After weeks of experimentation with the R6 shock mod, I finally have it completed. I must have installed and removed the shock a dozen times. Changed springs, on and off, a dozen times. Scratched up the shock body, scratched the springs, re-painted the springs several times, went through 2 sets of spring compressors. But it was worth it in the end. Installed the shock with good preliminary sag numbers and set the rebound 1/3 off max and compression 2/3 off max to start, with the preload in the #4 position out of 9 steps. So I have room to change settings in both directions to fine tune the shock. Charged up the new battery and installed it. We got juice! Fuel tank is not installed yet so I cranked it over several times for some much needed oil distribution. Going to start the bike on Saturday. Woo Hoo!

does this shock also fit into an nc30? as i assume an r6 shock upgrade would be better than a rs250 shock upgrade

Hope to hear it going sometime soon! I think running lights are kind of cool and anything ot help cage drivers miss you when they are on the phone/doing makeup/picking their nose is a bonus

I am confused, do you mean to tell me that UK NC30/35's don't have front running lights? Is this a Japan only thing? I think it is a bonus also, but it's not on all the NC's? Hmmmmmmmm.

No running lights req'd here in the UK.

Although Volvos have their lights on permanently and so do some of the newer bikes do too.

Its a pretty good idea as it makes everyone else aware that you are there.

Dual puprose indicator / Running lights is a Japan / US thing.

Some cars such as Volvo's have amber corner markers but the indicators are seperate units. Lorrys / Vans / Trucks also have amber side markers.

Not sure if the US has a vehicle test but in the UK we have MOT (ministry of transport) annual test that all road vehicles over 3 years old must take and pass, indicators thats stay illuminated are a fail

Plus it's so uncommon to see here, here many drivers think you are signalling to turn and you risk people pulling out on you. (as I noticed when I had dual purpose indicators)
