Coming along nicely mate, how do you manage to keep your workshop so tidy? i only have to change the brake pads and it looks like a tazmanian devil has been let loose in the place.

Good thing you have a fairing for that bike... the dash would be one hell of an air brake!! LOL.
Looking good!

So the box arrived from Graeme this morning sans inlet cam...
After a bit of pissing around with the old one trying to replicate what I did wrong I just went for it very very carefully and in in went no bother at all first time...WTF??
So then it was just a case of bolting shit onto the engine...
And pop it in....well I say pop usually it's a piece of piss to do on your own but this one was being a bastard.
Connected up all relevant plugs n shit....And we have life.
Went round checking bolts n stuff after putting the rad on by which time I was fucked and had had enough.
This is what I have to do tomorrow, fit carbs and the last of the samco bits to the head, fit throttle and clutch cables, fill with oil, plug in remote bottle and hope to dear god it runs....
Oh and my yoke, sidestand and frame will be done in the morning aswell.

So all did not go to plan, after spending 1/2 a day chasing down an electrical gremlin that was causing the 30a starter relay fuse to blow turned out to be the brand new switch I just bought for the ignition it was finally time to start the bike....after the cursary hour fitting the carbs of course.
Alas it did not start, has spark-air-fuel....
It also had oil pissing out of the side of the casings at the point that looks like an upside down T in the pic, yes it looks like a crack but it's a casting mark.
So it's now stripped right back ready for the engine to come out tomorrow.
And rather than risk it happening again I'm going to use the other set of casings I have.
Weirdly I'm not raging...I'm almost serene...
