Glad your ok pal, did the system survive the crash

I'd remind your company that your Insurance doesn't cover you for work use and that now your seriously out of pocket due to them asking you to go, worth a punt.

Shit luck mate, one of those things and at least you walked away - plastic can be replaced, knee caps and shins are a bit more difficult ;)

Just add it to the list of things to be done and carry on, I'll let you know if I see any nose cones!

Very stiff and achey today, mostly in my shoulders and where my left leg goes into my hip, right knee is bad, and my right elbow, could have been worse though.

I'll pm you for that copy of TOTW if you don't mind, can only improve my riding

Tony, system is fine, the top yoke and banjo bolt took the brunt of it and all of the damage appears to be confined to the top of the front end.

This does give me an excuse to buy a Suzuka nosecone I suppose  Anyone know someone who can do a good job of painting one up in tye 1 colours?

I wanted a HRC double banjo with bleed nipple, but after looking on the web I found this site, can't complain at that price, cost me £7.08 all in, with 3 new copper washers :)

Hopefully this is what it will look like by the end of May :D I couldn't be bothered with any fancy photo editing software, so please excuse the crappy paint attempt :)

Right, majorly pissed off now. Still no sign of the banjo bolt, emailed yesterday to see if they could send it out to me so it arrives before tomorrow and haven't had a reply, apparently they will review the message immediately and get back to me if needed. Still nothing so contacted an ebay seller, who said they'd be able to send it guarantee'd next day if I ordered by 12 today :D

So in short, from my experience I'd advise you don't bother with moto-racing.co.uk, they have left me in the dark as to the status of my parts, and don't reply to emails.

Why do you need the Banjo bolt can't you just bleed the system as standard?

The banjo bolt snapped in half in the crash, and last time I bled the brakes I spent ages getting all of the air out of the m/c so thought this would be a better way of doing it this time :)

Bugger, well that's my lesson learnt then  As I said above, it took ages last time, and was never quite right, even though the calipers were coming out clear I was always convinced there was air in the m/c :|

You can still bleed the master cylinder without the banjo bolt. Just wrap a rag around the M/C squeeze the front brake, open the bolt and shut it off before the lever is fully depressed.

Do that a few times, it won't take a lot of bleeding.
