The only other thing I did today was give the fork lowers a blast over with some black enamel paint, pics tomorrow as they are curing next to the radiator at the moment.
Looking forward to tomorrow as its going to start going back together.

Soooo started with a bit of cleaning...

Image
Then fitted the new sprocket

Image
Image
Then started fitting the dash this is what it looks like from the back with the special tanuki shock absorbing system.

Image
Other than that I laid the loom over the bike and started routing the it also messed about with some of the other electrics, fitted the front wheel and clip ons and had a good tidy.

Tomorrows list of things is fit the brakes, new billet 1/8 throttle, rear brake etc etc.

1/8 turn throttle!? You might as well fitted a switch! I had a 1/7 turn and actually, it was great, but I had real hassles getting used to starting with it - Constantly launching the front. Going to fit it to my NC30 when I put the new engine in.

Looking very nice indeed! I like the Dymag wheels and the throttle. This is going to be fun!

Cheers Steve.

Luke It's the same as the throttle tube I have been using for years so it's all good.

Cool - they are awesome coming out of a corner and getting to full throttle.

More stuff done..

Brakes pads fitted, calipers fitted and all bled up nicely.

Image

Haven't bled the rear but fitted it, had to fit the new rearset for that side aswell...blimey they are high!!

Image

Had a tidy up of all the wiring that will be behind the clocks although it looks a bit like a birds nest its all designed to be disconnected very quickly and it's not had its final tidy as I can't really until I have a running motor in the chassis.

Image
And finally a better pic of the dash with added stickers :)

Image

There may be one other item to go on the dash, I bought a shift light for the KLX but it doesn't seem to like it so I may yet fit it to this.

Not much else I can do until I either get a subframe or the new engine running.

He is mate....lets just say he's a little less than reliable.

I think the rearsets will be fine will take a little getting used to but then it's going to be whole different bike to what I am used to.
