748 :scare: Only 748's worth buying are the R's and maybe the SP's, or one thats had a shed load of money spent on the right bits like 853 overbores.

Saying that tho i like their revvy nature and underdog status, still wouldnt buy a stardard BP tho.

I was looking at a 748 in the summer to upgrade from my nc23 aswell.. but decided to go for an Aprilia RSV. You can get a mint one for the same price as a slightly tired 748.

Have you considered an RSV?

748 is only one of about 10 bikes I want to own next year XD I'll be trying to get test rides on all of the ones I want to buy before making a proper decision.

RSV's are cool, although if I was going for a litre V twin I'd try and get hold of an SP1/2

New 090 is on, definately needed it, the bike tips in so much nicer now, will be doing plenty of roundabout surfing once I get the fork seals and front tyre done (one is leaking and the tyre is starting to crack up, although it's done very well for a tenner :D)

ROOT Ran Out Of Talent

So here's the results of todays adventuring

Pictures pretty much tell the story, going into the corner at about 30, didn't feel right, got target fixation on the edge of the road, then decided I wasn't going to make it, I tried to carry on slowing down as I went across the grass heading for a field, but something went wrong, the front washed out and lowsided the front end into the pole of the wonky sign.

I walked away, and the bike still runs, so it's not all that bad I suppose.

Nosecone is toast, screen and the brace are totally fucked, the banjo bolt took most of the force of the crash and sheared off completely, against all odds I actually found it, putit back together and you can see where it's bent and sheared off.

I may end up with a Suzuka nosecone if I can't source a type 1 replacement, the thing that pisses me off is my area manager asked me to go, and although the accident is my FAULT I was hoping the company would at least offer to help with repairs as I was asked by them to go, so it's partly their RESPONSIBILTY as I wouldn't have been there if it weren't for them.

Bright side is I walked away, 2 feet to the right I'd probably be in a wheelchair or bodybag

Dude! That sucks arse.

Similar to the first crash I had on the road (only crash)

Get your bad self some thinking about your riding - PM me your email, I'll send you a copy of Twist of the Wrist..it is good..

Get a TD too..you have no excuse now as the fairings are scabby! You'll be far better prepared for making corners that you get a little scared in the middle of.

Glad you are OK. The bike will still be your friend if you promise not to crash it again :rocks:
