Do you know what the track layout is like? Friend on a DRZ (Top speed of about 90) so need to know how long the straight is - eg, the whole runway or is it laid out with lots of twists and turns?

Just found out that my boss is on holiday on the 8th!
So basically, I can't have the day off.

Sammy - the main runway is incorporated into it - there aren't too many twists and turns along that stretch - but there have been other supermotos on the track before - even a cr500 2 stroke screamer!!!
My mate will be on a DRZ on the september one!
Matt- thats a shame you can't make - still, maybe you can make the september one?

Yep I'll be doing the September one too! I'll be back from Afghanistan by then. I leave a few days after the June Trackday.
Had a bike club meeting last night - there will be the traffic cops there with the speed gun thing on the main runway about 2/3s of the way along noting down speeds (prize for top speed apparently?!!)
There are 5 instructors who will show you the best routes and/or follow you for a bit to see how you are getting on.
Setting up is from 5pm on Sunday 7th (will take a couple of hours)

For those who have vounteered to be marshalls - this was posted up on the bike clubs forum today
MARSHALS ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Many thanks to all those who have volunteered their services for marshalling for the day. If everyone would please arrive 0815 - 0830, this will allow sufficient time for your briefing and kitting out. On arrival, please present yourself to the marshals check-point at the booking in desks where Gary Baker should be.
As you approach RAF Odiham on the B3349, please follow the orange signs with "ARD" to an alternate entrance for the day.
Each marshal point will have 2 marshals who will be equipped with suitably coloured flags for control of the track, radio and fire extinguishers as well as hi-vis vests.
You will be supplied with water, tea/coffee throughout the day and a meal at lunch time.
Please dress accordingly for the weather on the day, bringing any extra waterproofs/warm clothing with you in a bag/rucksack to be taken out to your marshaling point with you.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 8th
Thanks,
John Hickey
OMCC
See you there - Hopefully it'll be dry?!

And for all those riding on the day this was posted up
'Please don't be late.
You will need to show your ID at the crash gate as mentioned earlier in this thread. Once in the paddock, book in with control (next to the building), again showing your ID. You will have to complete the club indemnity form, before going off for noise testing. DO NOT RIDE IN THE PADDOCK WITHOUT A HELMET ON.
The briefing will be between 0900-0915. If you miss the briefing, you will miss sessions until we are able to catch up. We aim to start riding at 0930 (or as soon after).
If you are available to help set up the circuit on Sunday eve between 5 and 7, I would be very grateful. Please go to the main gate of RAF Odiham and we will escort you through in one group. I advise you to wear long trousers and bring gloves, as straw can be very abrasive. Thanks.
See you Sun/Mon'
(I'll be doing the noise testing and all 400's will pass without a problem

)
