The way im looking at it is if they are good and below the cost of a good respray and decal set fitted (and lacquered as sppropriate) then worth getting, as I'm sure original unpanted bodywork is better than repaired and painted set. I'll also still have my bodywork that I could move on to offset the costs!

Don't know if this is any help because it refers to the NC35, but last year a chap (on ebay) sold off his NOS panels that he'd collected but never used. The headlight section went for £750 and the two lower sections were around £250 each. Can't remember the rest but he must have made around £2000 for the lot. Presumably as there are more NC30's around, the cost of good panels will be significantly less, and those were NOS. I also watched a pretty good mid-panel go for £145. I contacted him during the bidding and offered £80 to end it early but he refused and for him that was the right call. My repaired panels are, of course, never going to match very good originals but I gave in after months of searching for decent replacements, which I could afford.
If I get a chance I'll attempt to put up some pics of mine so you can see the quality and decide for yourself.

Could someone please direct me to the section that explains VERY SIMPLY how an IT illiterate person can post pics, bearing in mind I'm on a Mac and not going anywhere near Microsoft.
I know lots of people have asked that question (well, maybe not quite in the way I asked it), so maybe we should have an easy-to-find explanation? Now I expect someone will tell me it IS easy to find and I obviously haven't been paying attention.

So i may have struck gold today. After chatting with a guy on the VFR400 NC30 Owners Club on Facebook, I arranged a trip to Leicester while visiting my brother in Oakham to have a look at a full set of plastics to match my bike.

Having met up with James (top bloke by the way) and realising I had come accross what could only be described as 'rocking horse shit', after a bit of good old fashioned bartering I now have a stunning set of original bodywork for my bike (as well as a good spare set of matching lowers).

As you can imagine I'm absolutely delighted and the price was fair in my oppinion too! Now I have the appropriate finish to what i believe to be a lovely all round good honest low mileage NC30!

Pics to follow when I get the chance to give them a good polish and fit them to my bike.

Thanks to everyone that has helped with advice. Question now is, do I still consider selling, or look for a place to store her till I come back in three years???

Hmmm, that's nice of you. I suppose you would look after it for me and take it for a gently spin every now and again.... lol
