Great, thanks laying it all out simply for me. I don't have a bigger bike because of engine size restrictions for new riders down here in Aus. I love my RVF and have always wanted one, but it will be going in a year or so for something like a 675 Daytona. Just want to tune it and get the most out of it in the mean time. I am only tuning it because it's running rich with its current exhaust - so long as that's sorted I'm happy, even if it's on all OEM hardware.

Any closing thoughts on performance air filers and airbox mods? Yes to the former, no the latter I imagine?

My experience has been that the OEM filters are spot on.

If you are getting rid in a year, then sod all this cost, get some tyres, book some trackdays and go thrash it
