Re: Ben's bikes - current and soon
Did a gocompare, comparethemarket and MCN compare. Then got direct online quotes from MCE and Carole Nash (along with ebike and few others) then I phoned MCE (insurers on my 125) who couldn't reduce their price at all (despite being over 300 pounds more than my other offers) then phoned CN and bikesure.bikemonkey wrote:How many insurers did you call before you accepted the policy?
Been in contact with bikesure through this site only had TPFT quotes but they weren't any more competitive than the prices coming through compare sites, been trying to get the bikesure guys to phone me from this site but they seem to be not reading their messages these last few weeks so i couldn't be bothered wasting time with them.

Re: Ben's bikes
Wow, fair enough.
Seems a lot though, at 19 I got insured fully comp on my 30 for £550 with a years no claims and 4 mods plus only £50 excess thanks to a nice little scheme which CN put me onto with AXA.
But I fell out with CN on Monday when they wanted to put my premium up by £300, then got myself a good quote from MCE.

Just a couple of photos from today, ABBA stand arrived so took the fairing off and changed the dashboard lights (new bulbs don't seem bright but will have to reserve judgement until tomorrow night) Also put some Velcro to attach the main seat with.

Looks really clean. Some small changes would make it look 10x better though, spray the fender white and get a less smoked/clear screen.
Very nice though.

Despite being none original I do actually prefer the red fender.thutchoo wrote:Looks really clean. Some small changes would make it look 10x better though, spray the fender white and get a less smoked/clear screen.

I'm going to order a clear screen soon, I was expecting it with a clear screen but unfortunately it got broke the day before I got it!

Re: Ben's bikes

Just a random snap I took today walking out of Tesco, I still love seeing this parked in a car park and knowing it is mine.

Agreed, I love staring at mine through the window at work, even in its current shabby state.Zippy wrote:That is the best feeling isn 't it.
