No, it was from a 998RS, happened at oulton, guy wanted the rev limiter lifting, it was lifted - it then shat itself in a spectacular fashion as seen.
there was nothing worth saving from the engine.

Saw that one (and many others) when billy had his workshop up at oulton and we used to loiter most evenings with intent in the workshop between 2003 - 2009
Hence my loathing of 749's - seen so many of them come through the workshop over the years. all shite. can tell you some storys about them things.

What sort of mileage can you expect from a 916/996/998 engine before a full strip and rebuild if they are kept well maintained Paul? Ive heard that the cranks are pretty shot by 50k or so :shock:
