Re: Oulton 15th Feb
Hi pilky, bad news about the bike mate, did read that you'd had an off didn't realise it was bad enough to render the bike unfit for use, what's broken/bent/no longer working on it?Pilky wrote:So have you recovered from your injury now then?28hodge wrote:Very keen on the idea, was gonna book with Nolimits on the 23rd but this one might be a wee bit quieter so may be a better idea as Nolimits last year on the 18th was rammed. Not ridden any bike really since getting injured in May, apart from a couple 15min sessions on my mx'er just to make sure i can change gear still!!
I had an off at Donington and can't afford a new bike yet so theres a possibility I will be doing some trackdays on a beaten up vfr400 after March... I doubt it will survive more than 1 trackday though I just dont have the funds this year with moving house.
Makes me sad
Hmmm prob bout 80% over my foot injury, still get pain when I walk occasionally or if I've been particulary active the previous day, been on my mx bike a bit and that makes it swell up and sore to walk on for a couple of days. Running is a complete no no which is a shame as I enjoy running, but have taken up swimming instead which is ok, actually really getting into it.

Looks like you might just get a half decent day.
Hope it turns out ok, i'd have joined you if work had allowed.

Re: Oulton 15th Feb
wow what a great day. weather was stunning, bone dry after session 1, no drama's or anything too bad.
a couple of disasters in the advanced group stopped play, seemed to be the usual cant get a place in inters, so advanced will do then wiped someone out.
the little CRM held it's own, it got twatted on the straights, then as braking is optional rode around the outside until the straights came again. rinse and repeat until they decide "ah fuck it let him go" lol.
Nice to see Hodge again, bad luck with the NC mate. i saw a couple of CBR400's and a lovely burgundy ZXR400 too.
