Antway as i'm here i did forget to say there's no doubt that with combined cost you would pay more duty.

It's pretty easy, just search for 'import duty calculator'...

Or, take the total cost of the goods, carriage and insurance. If this is above £135, 3.7% Import Duty is added. However for some reason unless the charge for that comes to more than £9, it is waived (or so I'm sure I read), so really it's more like £235. Then, 20% VAT is charged on top of goods, carriage, insurance and Import Duty.

So, £100 delivered becomes £100+£0+£20=£120. £400 delivered becomes £400+£14.8+£82.96=£497.76

That in theory is still a good deal if only the seller would mark the the total value of the goods down on the customs declaration to under the threshold speedy has explained. Say sub £100 to make it worth your while buying both.

The rads are excellent value and of decent quality at that price alone worth asking if he would do this for you.

Just sent them this email to try and get a discounted rate!
That sounds a not bad deal. I won't be able to order until the new year. If you could help me and lots of other people on a forum I use you could sell lots of these. So as a really big favour for a set of NC30 rads and hoses including p&p could we do them at £135 and mark the parcel at £100 for customs as not sure how you mark these up for postage? If you get messages from members of a forum called 400 grey bike could we get this rate as quoted above please??

Hopefully he comes back with some good news, am looking into getting some new hoses myself, and for that price might as well replace the rads, pretty sure mine are still original and they have seen better days for sure.

It's illegal to put a false declaration of tax value on a parcel. £140 delivered won't attract Import Duty as while it's over the £135 threshold, the duty would be £5, which is under the current £9 minimum. So you'll just get £28 VAT on it, unless while they don't charge the £5 they consider it to be there for tax purposes, in which case the VAT would be £29.

Pity that though the pic shows lower rad with fan bracket, the auction says without....
