^^ this.
If I was to fit USD to my NC I;d be after something newer, lighter and more adjustable. Yokes not the problem..and has anyone managed to get some RVF yokes recently? They are not cheap or common.

i will stick with the nc35 idea as its relatively easy to do, ie RO kit will sort it.
If I bought something else that wasnt so easy to do - I would never get round to fitting them because i am on a steep learning curve with all this.
RVF yokes are however a pig to find, I have found that out already- The tyga ones look more and more appealing but christ they are expensive. I am concentrating on getting the forks first tho anyway.

Not very common, hence why I snapped up a pair years ago that needed a very slight tweek on the bottom yoke. Almost precisely the same tweek that the original yokes had when I got punted off by a twat in a white van. Maidstone Motoliner sorted them out for a few £10 notes one morning.

At the end of the day its your bike and anything we say is unlikely to change your mind if you like the USD's that much

Same thoughts really, not sure I have even seen USD forks on a standard shape nc30 but I dont think it would look great.
The reason for the facination is that I didnt get to buy that oki that was on here (jamboys) and have seen a couple now i really like - marcus57's / jamboys - i really liked them so i may have to just go ahead and build something similar!
I might grow out of it v quickly as i already have a standard type 3 scheme ready to go - but for now that where I am probably going with this. I am just collecting the parts so - hopefully I might be able to get it at least started over the winter.
It is a shame that you missed out on the OKI bike especially seeing as it looked like you had it for certain, just the way things go i suppose at least now it gives you the chance to build a bike exactly how you want it and im sure it will be brilliant, part of what i really like about the builds on this forum is the diversity of them all some arent to my tastes but are still very nice bikes.

What about ZXR400 front end?

How about a ninja 636 front end? pretty sure the forks bolt up to the ZXR400 pretty easy so putting it on a NC shouldnt be too much hassle. Decent spec front end that too.

I may be off to look at a pair of zx636r b1h forks local to me tomorrow! Emailed Rick Oliver a few months ago and he seems to think I'd need zxr400 yokes, his zxr400 adapters and the b1h wheel and brakes.
Had a set of sp1 calipers all sorted and adapters but think ill move these on if I pick these forks up tomorrow.

Rick O does a ZXR front end kit too right?
The ZXRSP forks would be my choice as they are 3 way adjustable and not bad once overhauled.

I am sticking with the Honda, 35 forks, in fact i just paid for them - I cant ride for shit yet so whether they are 2 or 3 way adjustable wont make any difference to me for now and also i am fairly sure i will be able to move a set of nc35 forks on pretty easily if things change on my build.
Just the matter of finding all the compatible parts now to be able to fit them.

I picked up a set of good condition zx6r b1h forks today!!! £200. Think that's a bit of a bargain when I was looking at rvf forks for only a little las than that!!!
