Apologies Paul hadn't seen thread oops, the ns400 outside looked good from the bar window but not so clever under its painted plastics on closer inspection.. Agree it's a good day out but not worth a 500 mile round trip for me perhaps I was expecting too much after reading the magazine hype and what others up here had told me about it.

On a lighter note igot talking to an elderly gent with a suzuki t20. Bottom End in a box at the gates who looked delighted with his purchase.

I enjoyed the show, and good to meet up with some enthusiastic people.
We shared our stand this time with a club displaying some other homologated superbike race bikes and won the "Best multi manufactures bike" award.

I have to say I like that OW, nearly bought one this year and then seller changed their mind!

I had an OW01 when I owned a ZXR750R KI and RC30.

The OW is the better bike, but the inline 4 was too buzzy, and vibey for me. It also used more oil then the RC, which is amazing.
The handling is beyond reproach, but the steering a little slow.

However, I may buy another as I am thinking of reducing my RC collection.

like most things the values the past few years have shot up. Couple of years ago you'd see them for 4-6k, now more likely 10k. This one was a one owner 8k bike, last taxed in 1990! did a deal and then the classic trader selling it never got in touch, didn't sell it. the owner never found the paper work apparently! To this day it's not been taxed, so i guess he still has it

I too am homed in on an rc30 if i can find one! love the v4 mid range torque, perfect balance to the engine (piston speeds cancel out crank fluctuations) and the Honda HRC build quality! Newer bikes are indeed faster but theres a reason these things went so well at the suzuka 8 hour and IOM races. Usability! They are not called the Honda motor company for nothing.. The motor mmmmm... Shame when people loose interest in an rc that they dont let them go to us lot who are still interested....
