Re: buying a nc30 advice
Hi guys iv had a look at this nc30 I was waiting on and realized that it had a double sided exhaust, it struck that I had never seen a nc30 with a double sided pipe I was told it was an ex racer but had been very well looked after. is this normal on this bike? It also has a short shift throttle how much of a good thing is having one of this would anybody have any advice.
Cheers guys

Pics?
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

Re: buying a nc30 advice
Mate im East London If I can help just drop me a PM im busy as hell but if its local I will help you out...
Ive been looking for a 400 around the £1300 mark for a friend and have seen about 6 bikes with her all where money pits!!! and its not just because im perdantic
NC prices in my eyes have rocketed in the last few years I purchased my Viffer 3 years ago for £1350 that was 100% totally standard one owner, Bats motorcycles supplied with 8k on the clock, he even gave me an after market exhaust system and paddock stand
..... YOU WILL NOT FIND DEALS LIKE THIS NOW
I would say a decent NC is around the £1800 price point and I have a rule that I NEVER purchase a bike from anyone in London!!!
The reason is simple most people dont have a garage
I try and find the old boy that is selling his bike because of back problems and has a snap on tool chest in the workshop , buy it nice or buy it twice is what I would say, and dont be shy to look at as many bikes as you can something decent will always pop up if your patient...
Most NC 's are touching 20 years old and even my low mileage example has had major cash spent on it just to keep it running, think rubber parts that have perished and fastners and bolts that rust all this adds up, if like me the owner has done this over time then fine but in one hit it just isnt cost affective...
Sorry to give you such a negative post but ive seen time and time again friends buying bikes then the frustration when it goes tits up and they waste another summer trying to get it sorted
... 400s are awesome bikes when cared for (think suspension upgrades and fully serviced) but Dare I say an older SV 650 "may" be a better bet for you at this moment in time and with limited buying knowledge...................................................
I will get my coat

Re: buying a nc30 advice
Thanks for that m8, I have looked at a few but I thinks that gem iv been waiting for is here but I'm waiting for the women to come back to England its been garaged for 8months and the women only used it in the summer so it should be sweet. I did look into and sv650 but I would only go for the new shape and if I was going to do that I would 500 and get a really nice nc30 or a rvf400. When I hear from this women I will pm u dude cheers
