Indiana Jones, Great advice never really thought of that, but it makes sence and i tried it..

After bleeding it all and its still binding as bad, i have tried my best to look for clues to bring back hear to see what you all thought.. Well there are about 3 or 4 pistons that go in and out "ish" on the pull/release of the lever but the others seem to do neither, just stuck to the pad. So i am thinking possibly the pistons and seals need replacing maybe? Which is strange considering they flow in and out by hand when the pads are out very easily, and are in great nic, so i don't know why they could be sticky One other thing i noticed when bleeding the brakes, i bleed them through for a good half hour to make sure i removed every bit of air to which i though i had, but are still really spongey. So then i thought i would bleed the M/C by pushing fluid back up from the calipers (with my lungs through the bleed pipe ) which is probably a very stupid thing to do i couldn't push it back up at all with the lever both on and off which might be obvious with the ridiculous method i used? I expect that it needs a surring to force it back up or is it that my master cyclinder is actually the real problem and is stoping the fluid to return back on the release of the lever to pull the pistons back in properly?

Hi, I think now if all the pistons are ok and the calipers are not scored a new set of seals are due just for safety. What I would try now is take the pipes off the calipers and plug the hoses . Gently use a screwdriver and push the pads off the disk so the wheel spins free. Then get a footpump and the airbed adapter and pump down on one side until the wheel is held by the pads, and then disconnect pump. If everything is ok and the wheel spins again the caliper is ok. Then do the other side. I really do feel you need to replace the inner seals, make sure the seals go in the right way around.

Hi Mark, i think you could be right there bud, just looked now and it's goin to cost £5.87 for wiper and main seals per piston!!!! So we are looking around £45.00 which is a ridiculous price... And knowing my luck it will be the M/C at fault or the pistons themselfs, i'm thinking it would possibly be alot easier and maybe cheaper sourcing a good working second hand complete front brake of hear maybe?

I expect there not easy to come across?? Maybe put a wanted add on hear..

If everything is ok pistons and bore then I would go for the seals as that is about what a set of calipers would cost you and who's to say you won't have a problem with them?

Very true Mark!! I think when i have time i will just strip them down and do the job properly with new seals.. Many thanks for the info i will let you know how i get on with it..

I think you have made the right decision! I am not sure about the web site but ring them Monday. They are really helpful and you will at least be sure you have the right parts!

yes give them a ring but you have 2 pistons of each size per caliper

Mr EC, are the two pistons in each caliper different sizes then? Well learn something new everyday!!

i ordered a full seal kit "enough to repair both front calipers with oil seal and dust seals" for £33.54 delivered
but that was 2 weeks ago and still nothing
i notice from your link they don't even offer the full seal kit anymore
perhaps that's why i aint got em
although they are going to get a snotty inbound e-mail tomoz and i hope they choke on it
