I had a pair done a while ago and they came back on standerd setting with th old springs ... they were very soft, I could almost bottom them pulling up to the lights.
if I was you I'd get some stiffer springs in them or seach the forum for the different air gap / oil wieght

i had the same problem
rebuilt the forks as standard and they were still soft as
ended up going for weight related springs and spacers (from maxton) with standard oil and air gap

if they come back and are still a bit soft you could try thicker oil as the cheapest option but the springs on these things are 20+ years old and were only designed for a small oriental chappie in the first place



EDIT: standard oil is 10wt - 106mm from the top without springs and forks compressed

try the oil first as thicker oil will flow through the damper rod slower giving more damping

to change the air gap add or remove a little oil, but be careful if your changing the oil level,
as to little oil = more air and it will pogo all over the place and too much oil could blow the seals out under serious braking
as it's the air that compresses so not enough air means some thing has to give and it's likely to be the seals

Hogdigerdy Dog / Evilchicken im wishing id asked them to use thicker oil when I took the forks in to be done - Damn.. Although Im tall and not the heaviest of lads so I guess Ill have to just wait and see how they turn out.

i put the bottoming out down to the fact the seals were shot and there was always oil on the stanchions, also there was pitting which ive managed to remove with wet and dry.

that's for the 3tj sp models
it's 10wt - 80mm for the 3tj rr models and the 4dx
the 3en1 has smaller diameter forks so could be different again
have a look through the manuals
