I must be thick cause I still can't see how this card thing is working....

Once my guages arrive I'll see about getting everything balanced up

read here, and see here, make this (with corrected heights) and cut out, then run each one over the carb and it should just touch the card with the floats as the needle spring is contacted / starts to compress

Indeed and I have that very one in my tool box and it worked just fine! Thanks. Also good of you to put the NC35 height on it for when I get one of those too :grin:

So today me and my mate stu set the float heights, set A/f screws, and balanced the carbs and off the idle it's very very responsive, took all day to do it right but very worth it.

i just wondered if you used new float bowl gaskets all round after doing the work on the carbs?

No didn't need them, I had replaced them with rick olivers stuff a while ago

All day to-do but next time or when you work on another bike it'll be a lot quicker!!

Well all day included, 5 cups of tea, carb floats set, 30 mins standing chatting, texting on phones, talking about paint jobs/superfours/engine builds/selling bikes,5 more cups of tea.
