MMMMMMMMsekshul

the bushes from Rick arrived today, I'll grab a pic, and will send a message RE the technical drawing of the bits I want copied

Also required, 8 seals 13x18x3 but NLA.
The RC45 collar is 1mm longer and has a wider shoulder [17mm] than the RC30 type.

The s/a and Arm A and B seals are non standard size, so before making any parts, check what seals or nearest are available and consider making collars to fit, or boring the arms to suit.

e.g 13x19x3 and 20x [30 or 32] x7 are standard sizes.

How did Rick manage it, did he have spare seals?

Dave.

When the links were available from H they came as an assembly with the sherical bearings and seals fitted. Most 2nd hand links have them still fitted but the collars will more than likely be missing as they were loose items.

That is correct, but if parts are to be made up, [torque arms] then seals and collars are still needed.

And sherical bearings as well.

My collars are missing, but I will be having them machined up, I have the correct measurements to make them

As I said, I'll have everything sorted so it's a bolt on kit, and price it up. I've had word that my mates dad is home from Jersey, so will be popping over tomorrow night to have a chat about it.

As ever, updates as and when I know!

Plus it looks pretty
So in truth its not going to benefit 99 percent of owners?

Not quite as simplistic as that.

When you brake with a conventional set up the torque reaction tends to lift the rear wheel off the ground. The RC30 linkage reverses the torque reaction to impart pressure on the swing arm under braking forcing greater contact of the tyre with the ground. Having used one on an NC30 for over 10 years I would not consider it to be 'trick' or 'gimmicky'. It's almost impossible to lock the the back up even in the wet. You can confidently trail brake into corners as well to adjust your line. I certainly wouldn't remove mine.
