P.S. when i mentioned a "fool on a gixer thou" i was refering to the sort of idiot who owns/buys a "gixer thou" because its one of the very few bikes they know, the sort of rider who tells his mates in a bar that his standard bike does 200mph and has a self recoiling polkadot turbotube and they could race in bsb if they realy wanted to, the last 30mm on the sides of there tyres have never touched the tarmac ( exept when they droped it in there driveway).

personaly i think the GSXR 1000 is an awsome bike and would be very happy to ride one if i could afford to buy/insure one, and yes with its standard suspension set up and a competent rider it SHOULD trounce a 30/35.
but its not the bike i was having a jab at.

No it won't. Simple fact is that the NC30/35 wears thinner tyres, those thinner tyres means the bike has to lean *less* for any given speed. That plus the NC30/35 are *much* shorter and have a near perfect weight distribution means they can change direction quicker.

Oh and yes, that's me in the video above, on *standard* suspension.
