Ive just been looking through my free copy of Frost's equipment magazine. Theres some good stuff in there. I was thinking of getting the swingarm and frame powdercoated satin black but there is this stuff called
"Extreme Chassis Satin Black" its like a chassis paint but 3 times stronger and alot more durable. at £15.50 a tin I thik il give it a go.
I might even do the wheels with it as well.

Right anyways back to the shed......

Not exactly this one, but something like this for exhaust pipes. Really not very big empression. I'm not recommned you this stuff for painting frame/swingarm. Better to use termo-painting (not sure I used correct name in english).

Try to find alkyd paint as spray, and don't forget to use flattening before. It should be stable.

hey all,
just thought id keep you updated.
No progress on the CBR becasue my never ending insurance saga has seen me now had to fix the SP1 because the hire contract has run out. so been spending all my time and money getting it going again.

Im happy to report that the SP is now on the road again so I should be making some headway with the 400 project over the next few weeks.

Oh and ive got a NC29 rear wheel now with sprocket carrier + cush drives and only 1 of the spacers, anyone got any floating around they want to sell?

cheers

its better to do powder coating than conventional paint method for the main frame and swing-arm. its stronger and scratch resistant...

thanks gary,

I think what im going to do is just give the frame and swingarm a good clean and just paint the forks/engine casings and other brackets in that stuff.

Im hopefully going to get in the shed again next week so im going to make some headway with it.

Im racing against Matt on the re-build, he's just bought one too.
