The silhouette nose cones are just slightly different shaped, apart from the lense covers there also wider and shaped differently around the mirror mounts and screen. Well thats my RVF one anyhow, the NC30 ones are again slightly different plus i think theres 2 styles for the 30. Side panels are again slightly different being that they extend further back. Seat unit is pretty much the same although id like to see some copys made of the different variations we use to see on the suzuka and F3 bikes.

A copy of the silhouette nose cone with the right lense completely blanked off and the left one with a removable lense would get my vote.

CMSMJ1 On the issues and bad vibe I think that one is all past history and on the old site so probably better let bygones be bygones. I don't really come on here much to promote our products, Gav does a grand job for us. However in the technical and the strategic planning obviously it is easier if I get to hear what the masses want first hand. That said, what forum members say and what they buy are two different things (from experience on all forums not just this one) The tastes on forums tend to be more conservative due to the fact that many members are long term enthusiasts of that particular marque and the styling is often one of the things which attracted them to it in the first place. Customers on the other hand come from all backgrounds and many would really like to see, say a total CBR600 copy but with a 400 engine because that is all they can afford or legally allowed to ride. Our thinking has also been shaped by our own personal preferences and we very much like GP race bikes and not so keen on street bikes especially the latest breed in terms of styling (not talking performance and reliablilty which has never been better)

Our fairing business began with grafting on NSR500V and RS250 fairings on to NSR250s. It was an obvious trasition with the 400s. The RC211V styling in my opinion suits the V4s very well when done properly. The single sided swinger is perhaps not ideal but the frame and engine make up for this. A RC211V style swing arm and underseat exhaust was always a dream but sadly we've never had the time or the feeling that from a business point of view it would make sense. I'd like to do this to my RC30 with an SP 2 swinger but I'd probably get into trouble for doing so.

DM, thanks for the clarification. Concerning the upper cowlings, we do offer the stock NC35 upper and this can be ordered with only one headlight hole. I know this is not exactly what you want but I think it will have to do for now. To be honest, as values for the 400s decline the inclination for owners to spend much is reduced and the economic situation is not helping. Time spent on the V4s is time not spent on the RGVs, the Aprilias and the latest crop (Ninja 250 CBR250 etc). It is a case of difficult choices

i don't mind the RC211V tail but i do see where Drunkn is coming from with the rear light...btw Paul my T10 kit is all painted! thanks!! the bike is a little off from being finished but i'll send u some pics once it is...

out of curiosity...have you considered a modified version of the RC211V seat unit to incorporate a tail lamp like on the twin-seat unit? its remeniscent of the PC37 tail lamp, which i think looks nice

oh and can you send me one of those tasty new carbon cans....i'll do some testing for you...

While we are talking about what the market is saying - I can only speak to my own personal opinion and as someone shopping for rvf fairings, but the tyga rc211v looks brilliant side on but dammit the lights and the way they're integrated is just... Not for me.
The tyga lights may be superior to Kcon's output wise but at the end of the day they're still what I assume are scooter derived headlights, which (IMO) should never have a place on a sport bike, I don't get why not use very readily available aftermarket lights such as the delkevic cbr600rr oem style lights? $250 max. Likewise why not take readily available tail lights with super-sport cred and work them into the good side profile designs? Of course supply chain issues and guaranteed availability are possible counterpoints but surely given it's admitted that selling 100 kits is ambitious it can't be that big a deal.

Anyway, I'm going to balance that critique because I have a shopping list of oem style tyga parts which I'm likely to order soon because I like what I hear about the quality of tyga parts. I hope the arrangement with sumoto in Aus doesn't make that problematic (ie, annoying middlemen or inflated prices)! But Ive enquired with K con about their new tail style, because for the non-purists, all it takes is a sleeker tail to modernize the profile of the rvf. As for the front half of the new Kcon kit yeah it looks like fit and detail is woeful.

As an aside, can someone post some pics of this T10 style that's been referred to?

Not my cup of tea regarding the styling of their K-kits. Would rather prefer tyga suzuka kit with the normal seat unit (not the ones with the IMO too modern looks). BUT....I want this TSR system!

Kcon aren't going to sell individual parts of the 2011 kit from what I've just heard. What does that mean for those who buy the "limited" edition 2011 kit and then damage a part and need replacement? Buy a whole new kit? Oh but it was just a limited run and all 100 sold out in just a few days? These guys are looking very much like clowns.
