You posh bastard, tell everybody how I work in my garage with a little tilly lamp and a parafin heater as I have no electrics, but I could probably run a wind farm in there due to the drafts.....rickyb_dj wrote:thank god, i dont wanna spend long in the garage tommorrow its to fucking cold here!Drunkn Munky wrote:Na mine have always been dead easy to get off

The actual answer is that those type of mounts are used to prevent alloy frames from cracking.rickyb_dj wrote:why are these silly nuts used?
The threaded sleeve around the bolt is screwed in to a specified torque setting which stops the frame from being flexed in toward engine/swingarm and left under stress when the mounting bolt is tightened.

Rick
you really are a usefull book of advice rick,
that starting noise and occasional jammin that i spoke to you about on the phone some time ago, which i thought was broken teeth on the starter clutch, was actually the three golden bolts, they had all come undone! and was rubbing and catching on the clutch case hence the starting issues now and again, and also why recently the noise got louder!
Tony the socket hasnt arrived yet

saturday really pissed me off, we had our morning post at 9am ish, parcel from DSS etc,
i popped out returned at 2pm, to find 10mins earlier we had a sorry your out card from RM "13:50" and it said it had been returned to our delivery office about 5miles away in the city centre, and that closed at 2pm! WTF.
so had to go collect and when the wife went on monday they couldnt find the parcel, a right shower of shit that company is!
we used to have a decent one that always put recorded or SD through the door if no one was in if it fitted through, if it didnt the neighnours always took it, general parcels got chucked over the fence, but the once was an epic fail as i waited for weeks for my NC30 haynes manual i was pestering the seller only to find it soaking wet in the back garden thankfully the seller did wrap it well so the book its self was dry but the parcel wasnt, would have been nice to have had a card say over parcel gate/fence etc
RM =

Re: swing arm removal tool
Tell me about it, i dread going to the depot to pick up parcels, no legal parking, 1 person (grumpy) serving and always a massive cue with atleast 1 person asking for stamps, parcels regulary lost which turn up a month later and they have the cheek to have a sign up stating any abuse to RM staff will result in the police being called. Gota love em
