Perhaps RB was telling me that because they're in competitive racing but for riding on the road (and even on the track) someone who's only been riding for 6 months or so (ie. me) will notice the difference.CammyGTIR wrote:Don't know what RB are playing at with the "different ratio" argument Jonno. Sounds like porkiesto me.
Best option:
Rick Oliver
Acceptable Options:
Re-co VFR/CBR/GSXR
Re-co RVF shock
Either way, all of those will feel better than standard. And get a jack up plate if you can
The Rick Oliver shocks I'm sure are top notch but are a little pricey for me. I'll probably go with an 03-06 CBR600RR shock as I hear it is sprung quite well. I can get one out of the US for about US $140 first class express courier'd (2-4 days) so I'll most probably go with that option..
I just want to try gather some more info about sticking a CBR600 shock in an RVF before going down this path. Last thing I want to do is hand my bike and the shock over to the Suspension guys, and half a day later they let me know that there's going to be an extra $300 of labour involved in getting the shock to fit..
Can anyone at all provide info as to what is needed to make the CBR600 shock fit into an RVF400?... I had a look at the gixxer shocks, and the reservoir sits lower than the CBR ones so I think they may not cause as many troubles with hitting the battery box, however they are sprung too light and this would cost me another $200 for a new spring

Cheers
