I think that would be an excellent engine/chassis combo.geoff33 wrote:What about a VTR1000 motor?

Re: nc30 hybrid Q
I've outbraked many bigger bikes, but I guess it will always depend on skill level.geoff33 wrote:I have an RVF an a ZX636 as road bikes and a GSXR600 as a track bike and can honestly say I prefer the 600s over the 400 and can't ever remember being outbraked into corners by a 400 either.
400's have the same front tyre width (grip level) and are about the same weight (less in the case of our racebikes which to be legal have to be >150kg's), so I guess in the end it's up to rider skill.
The only bikes I find impossible to outbrake on track are GP 125's and those pesky motards.
This is getting way off track!

Re: nc30 hybrid Q
that doesnt look much different in size, the thing id be concerened about is that other engine being a different weight and the mounting brackets being i n different places so it may causing the bike to be unbalanced, and also the sprockets be out of lineGuerrero wrote:Can that huge engine fit in the little RVF?

Re: nc30 hybrid Q
People are suggesting lots of engines as this isn't something that is done very often, since it's quite possible to fit several different motors, all with different characteristics, it will be down to the builder to pick what they like the most. i.e v2, v4, straight etc.
As for 'working examples' There was an NC30 with a VFR750 engine in it that was owned by somebody on here I believe. I've also seen a ZXR400 with an 893 fireblade engine installed in it.
Not noticed any problems with the forum today, maybe its your pc?
