There are plenty of posts on the forum regarding the brake upgrades but yes, you need:
SP1, SP2, FIREBLADE 929 / 954 or CBR600RR calipers,
Rick O caliper brackets,
SP1, FIREBLADE 929 or similar (race set up / 2 seperate lines) braided brake hoses,
& a bigger m/c.
the m/c doesnt have to be from an SP1 but it does need to be the next size up from the standard nc30 m/c.

It all depends on taste & price i suppose, you can use a m/c from MOST of the bigger bikes but some are expensive & some are not.

There is currently a whole FIREBLADE set up for sale on ebay for £110 inc calipers & m/c, it even had braided lines. all you'd need then is the brackets - ebay item no: 250570300031

Yes, i would say thats a good price - a pair of calipers usualy go for around £60 - £90, a m/cylinder is usually around £25 - £40 & the lines are worth around £25 - £35 so even @ the lower guestimates its a good buy. new decent front pads will be around £40 - £50 & the brakets from Rick O are £35. Thats an all in front brake upgrade for around £200.

Thats alot of stopping power for the money.

Also what about an RVF fork conversion?

Are the an improvement over the NC30 forks also you don't need brakets for the SP1 calipers also.

looks or performance is the question you have to ask yourself

the standard forks with a good overhaul and Rick O springs work wonders.

Not sure not used USD for but from what i have learnt there isnt much difference in it on the road, only noticable on the track.

a well refurbed set of standard forks are ace, i did mine new springs, oil, seals and bushes and my front end is tight now, and no longer bottoms out.

uprated NC30 forks would be better than std RVF ones..

RVF forks cost a lot of wonga too...not worth it IMO even though they look cool.

having recently fitted a Rick O fork kit to mine after umming and arring about it for ages - it's worth the money and piece of pish to fit.
