I'm writing my letter to Pipercross and other companies to tell them that their air filters don't work. Back in their hay day they had so much rally success, i guess they were lucky their filters worked on dusty rally stages... :(
Just trying to suggest and alternative method of filtration, i guess i took the "ain't going to filter jack shit buddy" comment the wrong way, sorry if my replies seemed cocky or blunt.

Well as far as i know no ones tried socks on the stacks, try it but i think it would be best suited to a no airbox, carb tray, big jet setup. It would sound :drool:

My bad karl,

when you said sock it conjured up boy racer images where people used to drill there air filters and put a pair of there mums tights over the fillter and if they had some spare they also covered there lights!

i originally thought you meant socks as in the ones you put on your feet, and they really wouldnt filter jack shit,

i didnt realise you could buy pipercross socks manufactured to do the right job

FYI -

I'm now in the process of modifying a k&n from an early astra gsi. I'll let you guys know how I get on once its sorted.

If i had a method of paying i would support this site, but working out here in Thailand with nothing more than an ATM card i'm a bit stummped as to how to pay....
