i now feel a lot better being a aero owner it might not be the best cbr but hey its better than that wanky looking pile of crap on that vid,

i agree why are manufacturers like kwak and Honda making a mockery of them selves eh yes i know these days people don't want a inline 4 250cc 18,000 rpm commuter but sod them , i want to open fast bikes each month and be re introduced with modern versions of bikes like kwaks own 7x7r ya know our a oval piston 750 that's out of my reach but i still dream of owning one , ya know these days modern 100s etc see to be all this sleek shape and if im honest id rather have a nice r7 shaped 1000 or if needs be ill stick with me cbr400 and just build another with 100rr engine in it , still gonna be some people out there who like it and if Honda knows it will sell there gonna build them aint they,

Just take a think of the market outside the UK - it will sell in vast quantities - it's spot on for the roads / traffic conditions I deal with every day ......here in Asia

We race Honda 400s and 600s but I still use a 150cc bike for every day transport.

Honda are not blinkered.

I agree, perfect for commuting in city traffic.

This model was brought out in Australia in direct reply to the kawasaki ninja 250 - Australia's best selling roadbike of any capacity! That's got to tell you something about the market....

You have to try not to look at them in a sportsbike/performance frame of mind.

To be honest I'd love one for commuting - cheap on fuel, tax, insurance, maintenance and repair, light and chuckable (I'd imagine), just enough power, fairing gives wind protection, overall looks (moreso with the Ninja
perhaps but I think the CBR looks alright).

This is not to say I would have one as my only bike.

Does make me laugh that people say that riders these days don't want a high reving good performance 250.. How does anyone know as most of the riders out there have never had the option to buy one (A lot of riders didn't like the grey market and 2T's where unreliable in the public eye )... People will buy this bike because they want a sportsbike so why not give them sportsbike performance at least you can have some fun at the weekends and do some trackdays or are all riders these day's just after a quicker way to work than using the car??.

I don't really see the logic in buying a faired bike for city riding anyway just get the cheaper in everyway unfaired option and away you go, unless its a "poser" thing ..

If a small capacity performance machine was to be introduced I think they would sell esp if you could run a one make race series (Bemsee, MRO ETC) and as I said the old 250/400 machines are now not a option for most people and the 2 stroke market is dead so there really isnt a option for a genuinely good fun sub 600 cc bike anymore..

The bike I feel that got away was the Yamaha SZR 660 that could have been the best option as it ran the superb TZR250 chassis with a XT660 single engine shame it was built by the italians and looked like a bulldogs arse, why they never put a full sports fairing on I will never know .. If you ever get the chance to ride one give it a go they really are a fun bike with proper race handling and you could even ride it to work ..
