OK I have a few questions for you guys that have fitted a Tyga or any full system to an NC30 as I would like to get mine on this weekend.

Firstly when I removed my original front header 1 stud on each header came out and 1 remained attached to the engine, is this normal?

When fitting the new headers should I put some sort of grease on the gaskets and studs/stud bolts? How do I ensure I have cleaned the mating surfaces properly and get a good seal? I'm a bit concerned the original gasket has corroded onto the engine and I haven't removed it with the original exhaust.

I have assembled my full system, will I get it on like this or should I split it for fitting?

This is how I fitted my tyga system:

Flick out the old gaskets and scratch around the headers to get rid of the bits and so that the new gaskets can sit properly.
Covered the new gaskets with copper grease. Put on the new headers.
Assembled the pipes starting from the front. (I would disassemble the system if I were you to fit it because a bit of 'wiggling' is needed so it makes it easier to handle)
Throw the springs on. PEASY!
I love the fact its spring bound and not having to remove the headers when I want to take the system off.

Did you find that only one of the studs for each pipe came fully out? I have one on each header still attached and I'm not sure whether to try to remove them and replace with new ones that I've bought or to just leave them there and just put new ones in the other side.

I know what you mean, my studs came out with the nuts too. What I did was leave the studs in there as long as they are not damaged! Then try and get the nuts off the loose studs, that's if they are the original long slim Honda ones. Then replace the loose studs with new ones, with a smear of grease. Once all the studs have been replaced fir the exhaust as normal using gaskets and a smear or silicone on each sprung joint.

Mine were spot welded at the bottom so they didn't come out. This must be something a previous owner had done. I'm not sure if this is going to be beneficial in the long run. Especially if the studs snap.

I'm now confident I can do the job right and have all the right stuff barring some copaslip which is on the way.

Yep when I changed mine like on each port one nut would come off the stud an the other one would be with stud and nut lol.
One word of advice do not over tight the bolts like I did lol

I was right about the exhaust gaskets. Both were still on there but so corroded and discoloured it was hard to tell. Both now removed and I'm ready to fit the Tyga at the weekend.

Started to fit mine this afternoon but have had nothing but trouble!

So far it's cost me a tenner for some deep sockets and I've just sheared off one of the studs from the front headers (one of the type that doesn't come out) but hopefully there is still enough sticking out to secure a nut to.

When tightening the the headers up do you continue tightening until the flange sits flush against where the studs are or does it not go that far?

Just make sure the flange is straight, if it starts to bend then you've over tightened.
