Havent done a great deal of work on the bike over the last week, been busy with other things.
Ive started to strip down the forks so that i can rebuild them, and clean up and polish the lowers.
Recently recieved these beauts from RO

I started stripping mine two weeks ago. I want it ready for Summer which isn't too far way now.
Have done mine in a slightly different order to you Matt so tomorrow l'll be taking the engine out which is the last big thing to come off. I've got the frame hanging from the garage roof by a chain hoist so that I can get it up to a better height to work on, then I'll lower the engine onto a trolley table, unbolt it and lift the frame away. Again, I'll have it at a decent height to work on it.
The next couple of weeks look like they'll be nothing but cleaning, painting and powder coating. I've ordered a lot of bits, including the RO fork tops and bars that you got Matt. Takes a while (and a lot of money) for things to get to NZ though.
The end result is going to have an RC30 look but I'm maybe a month away yet.
I'll be interested to see how you get on Matt. Looks good so far but I can't say I'm looking forward to putting my loom back either. I photograph everything before I take it apart though so I can go back and see what it should look like.
Keep up the good work mate.

Cheers mate, ive been taking pics aswell of the complicated bits so hopefully putting back the fidly bits will be easy
Im hoping to have mine finished in OKI colours, but much money and time is needed before i can even think about the body work.
Good luck with your rebuild Mananon

I know what you mean about money Matt. So far I've not sourced one single part from NZ. Everything is coming from the UK or US. It's a good exchange rate at the moment but postage is crippling.
I was even tempted to ship a complete bike over. A good, standard one here is about 3,000 quid. Gave less for mine as it'd been dropped on both sides but, by the time I'm done, it'll have cost a lot more. At least I'll know it's right though, it'll handle better, brake better, might have a tad more usable power and I'll be a lot more familliar with the bike. Oh well, back to the garage...
Duncan,

I can source most parts from Oz if you're interested, but often (not always) it's cheaper to buy from the UK.
