nah, gona go with black with silver on the honda logo, like what yayoboy has done, silver preload adjuster are also on the way (£15 on ebay if anyone is interested, just type in 'pre load adjusters') as is a oberon silver res cap which sould neaten up that whole area of the bike, ooo i also got a HRC stering stem plug that looks v nice, but not putting it in until the controls are done.

o and today the post man brought me a very nice present, a full samco hose kit in blue so that will be going on as soon as I strip it down

Strip tease!!!

Stripped the bike today and am plesantly suprised, only one broken lug on the whole set of plastics although I cant undo 2 of the bolts holding the lower belly pan together at the bottom, will probably have to drill them out.

here's some pics

My scorpion can has a very short link pipe holding it on and is very loose, there is also scratchine from when the bike was dropped just wondering how long othwer peoples's link pipe's are as I would like to cut out scratching and secure the pipe better and i figure this is the best means of doing both, the new link pipe would attach to the standard pipe further down, measing I can cut the pipe below the pipe protector thing and make it look alot neeter, whats your advice,

here's a pic

o and smev, here's a pic of that lil black hrc box i have, think its just a speed derectrictor but not sure, it says HRC and not for highways use on it if that helps

Image

and I dont think my reg/rec is standard either, please say this is an uprated one as I hear the atandard ones go pop really easily

Image

and I want to replace this brake and coolant bottle with the hrc overflow bottle and hrc rear brake res, how do i got about doing it and how do they work

Hey spike!
the HRC box is the same as the one fitted on my bike - it does exactly the same as the 50p resistor mod that many people do to the jap import bikes.
as for the overflow bottle - there are usually loads on ebay.

yeh but how does it work? is it just a bottle with a tube going down to suck up coolant?

basically yes, it is just a bottle and tube, and some cable ties. I think its more to act as a catch tank for if the bike overheats - then it can be removed as it fills and you could top up the rad with the coolant again.
Not sure that it'll suck back in again - but I might be wrong :D

It does exactly the same function as the old coolant bottle but it is easier to access and keep an eye on.

Most people stick it just below the overflor outlet on the rads - by your right knee.

is there enough space between the fairing and here? what is you drop the bike would that not burst/split the bottle and if you carried on ridding would the bike not overheat?

Have a look at some of the bike pics and especially around the area near the forks or just behind the right hand headlight - I'm sure there are some people on here who have done this mod - I think there is thread which a few pics going on recently showing it.

I'd leave it std for now until you do all the mods you were on about doing, as it is hidden by the fairing and works perfectly well.
