You can sync the tacho and ignitech though so you could have an indicated 15.5 and it really be 15.5!

it is part of the ignitech SW.. I'll have to go and fire mine up to figure it out..but you have an adjust function to ensure that the displayed revs on the PC is the same as displayed on the tacho.

I've not fiddled with mine for a while..oo err missus..so I cannot remember exactly..

ah, just found 'correction %' for that. need to do some maths I think!

No maths needed - just hook your laptop up to the Ignitech box while it`s on the bike and fire it up. There`s an actual rpm figure on the right hand side of the screen so just hold it at steady revs and use the +/- tabs until the tach reading coincides exactly with that figure...

well if 15,500 is really 14,500 - that why i feel like i need more!
& in turn you're saying a standard bike is running 13,500 instead of 14,500 max rpm.

If the stock tacho is out then syncing the cdi to the tacho is wrong surely? Or have I missed something.
