have a similar problem, although my rads seem to get hot, both and do the pipes.....i also get the dip in rad level with the rad cap off when reved! the only thing thats playing up is no sign of life in the temp gauge on the clocks??

i need to remove the pump cover anyways as i have a silly small leak from the o ring, however, can i test the gauge is working? iv been told undo the spade and touch it to the frame. as with other bikes, but im unclear what the results would mean...... if the gauge shoots up then its working? or sensor is fked?

No need to bump the topic.

If earthing it makes the temperature go to HOT then the gauge is likely ok.

The temp sensor is next to the thermostat

Hey Guys, I know this was discussed eons ago, lol but I too am havn a small issue with my NC30. The expansion bottle often bubbles if I been ridding awhile and all (well most) of the coolant in there spills out. With Rad cap off, water mooves nycly, so i bet the pump is fine. havent pulled out the stat yet will do tonyt and see. She doesnt overheat, but bubbles at about 110 - 120deg. I have a 50 50 antifreeze, water mix, so boiling point should be close to 150deg. Ideas??
