We defo need more details on this smaller jet setup, ive never heard of setting up NC's that way. Sounds interesting

Evidence is required isn't it? Dyno graphs, fuelling graphs etc?
Would be good to know how it works out..I have 130s in my RVF carbs and a spot on grpah that I'll dig out. No high power though - a fairly tired roadbike...
@ Scoops - is the pic yours or one of abrmotos that you are using to show the system?

I'd like to see how its set up too! :D If theres less air / less fuel, then the only theory I have at this time of night, and after much beer is that the burn cycle of the fuel is more efficient, producing the extra power? (probably totally wrong!!)
I havn't done much with the 35 i have apart from take it to pieces but it did coem with a dyno graph for the jets that are in it and the a/f looks good

I must see if I can scan my dyno read out, havnt got a torque run tho. It has power and fueling.
Thats my bike, I bought that one from Aly, looks different now tho, thats when Aly had it

Funny thing is the guy that set mine up wouldnt tell me what he did, and when he told me what jetts he had in I was thinking oh crap this lad hasnt got a clue! But he assured me thats the best way of doing them but wouldnt tell me what he has done!
He was right! But im still none the wiser about what he did!

Why is that moto of yours making less power than wen you got it ?

The smaller the air jet bleed the more fuel will be pulled due to larger vacuum.
The nc30 hrc setup uses this principle by shrouding the air jet with the hrc velocity stacks. This enable smaller main jets to be used than otherwise (e.g. 145's instead of 160+) making the transition from needle to main jet less noticeable and a smoother power curve (no flat spots!).
Edit: you can pretty much get a fuel (power) curve spot on by just tuning the air jet and main jet. This isn't often done by the majority peeps with NC's as they're not adjustable as standard. The easiest way to make them adjustable is to tap the air jet to take a pilot jet, then drill these out to the required size. This has worked well for me in the past.

ah yes chief i'm with you now.
Still the HRC system uses larger than standard jets, i'm guessing the shrouding like you said is to keep power delivery smooth.
But smaller than standard? :D Crazy :D

Ok now im confussed........you brought one of aly's 74bhp 35's....and now you've changed to smaller jets and getting 69bhp.....why?????? or am i missing something here?
