Just sent a deposit for 2 sets. Anyone who is remotely on the fence better act now, as in NOW. There will NOT be another run of these... Ever.

I am beyond excited. Mike is simply the man for making even these happen. I am looking forward to a full on G-Force Powered Engine. :worthy:

DOAH!!!!! :o

I just got this. I can possibly add a set to the order I just placed Monday (Yesterday). But, you hae to act FAST!

The pistons are $1,410.00/set of 4 (pistons, pins & circlips) without rings. They will be done in about 8 weeks. I need 50% immediately and 50% before they will ship from Cosworth. If you're serious, get a hold of me right away. I will not be ordering more in the future.

Hi everyone I work at omega, I am the sole forger please don't give up on us we are trying to sort problems out and we have had staffing issues, we can assure you we take all work seriously,we don't make jobs on the cheap and our piston are simply the best in the world, ask a certain red Italian gp team!!!!!! Also as for a certain piston company starting with cos!!!! They asked us how to forge better, pistons take a very long time to produce hence the cost and time as does tooling and when you get a quote of 2500 for tooling 1000 is metal alone then there is machining and heat treatment this obviously puts up costs. We are a British company through out and we make only the best .

Thanks for posting Jason..

Your company might make good pistons but the customer service is/was shite.

We tried here to get something sorted, arranged and designed the sodding things for you and then you* just stop returning mails.

I'd still like some oversized pistons...but not sure that Omega would be the place I used.

* the royal you..not you personally. ;)

Did that guy just dis Cosworth?? lol sure buddy. Wonder why they're a legendary household name in racing. Oh, and 'certain red GP teams' replace pistons like brake pads. Not quite the durability I'm after.

Hi Jason:

Thank you for posting. We were all very excited to find a new source of pistons. I am the one who has been working with Cosworth, but the 48 piston minimum order has been making it very difficult to get pistons. After our poor experience with Omega, we have gone that route none-the-less.

Unfortunately, your posting is (as we say in the USA) "A Day Late and a Dollar Short". We gave Omega every single opportunity to work with us. However, the comunication was spotty at best and the final response of, "oh we can't make them for you at the original price we quoted, but we'll make them for a whole lot more money" said to us that Omega really didn't want our business.

Lastly, to come on a web forum and put down a company with such a reputation as Cosworth in order to make your brand seem better is not good business practice in my opinion. That type of action alone makes me steer away from doing business with companies like that. I have been doing business with Cosworth since 1988. I have never-ever-ever been let down. They have always responded to my comunication immediately and did what they said they would - WHEN they said they would. In my book, that is much more professional than coming on a forum and bashing another product after completely screwing up.

For me (I won't speak for the rest of the list) I was interested in trying the Omega pistons, but after the experience we had I was put off. After reading your posting I am permanently put off.

Sorry to be so blunt, but you did post on here. Sometimes you get flamed when posting on a forum.

Regretfully disappointed.

Munky - is this kit just for - I presume - the VFR's or for the  NC23 RRK's as well??

EDIT: YES! Just had a gander - 3mm oversize kits for the CBR's, same price!

Head gaskets would be the next problemo...
