I rebuilt my carbs today, fitted new jets and needle shims and drilled the slides as described.

I thought my bike ran well before and was undecided as to whether or not to bother rebuilding them but am glad I did as it now runs much smoother through the rev range and picks up a load better - happy days :-)

Great guide Cammo - Thanks !

im in the process of rebuilding the carbs now, iv found 124 mains in all 4 carbs on removal!? anyone heard or seen this before??

im a bit concerned about leaning her out to the 120f/122r if there jetted for the 124 for some resson. afaik im only running a half race pipe system, is there anything else i could check for which would may give me clues to why its jetted so rich!? many thanks

want to order up the parts asap so i can get them back on lol.

What does it run like now? You can always revert back, but I would leave drilling slides etc....

Get it going, dyno it, see how it needs to be changed and go from there.

hard to say as iv never rode it mate. i dont own a full licence as yet but going through the motions as we speak, building/refurbing her up for my pass

im in 2 minds what to do!? if i drop the fronts to the 120s then that 2 sizes dropped, she wont go BANG will she? lol

i was thinking about following cammos guied exactally and returning her to STANDARD for a decent set up. just wonderd why they d have the 124s in both front n rears. done a search, only the OKI nc30 on here was running those, but that was with HRC mods.

all i can say is that when i got it back last winter she would idel fine and pull through the revs smooth but that wasnt under any load, just on side stand.

the last muppet who had the carbs off tightend up the jets to much too so iv striped 2 of them just removing them  so i do need to order some anyway. you think its worth keeping the rear 124s and buying some front 122s. least then im not moving the goal posts on her too much.

Thanks for this, I just bought an nc30 and the carbs were full of fuel jelly - shes running great now! 8-)

Funny thing is everything was as you described, with the extra .5mm washer already, BUT it had 128S and 130 jets!!! Has anyone seen this before? They had the little K symbol on them like the carb manufacturer.

This has spurred me on to remove and clean my carbs this winter what a good write up my the bike has always hesitated to pick up quickly from tickover if you flick the throttle it would bog down badly, however when being ridden on the road the fault doesnt show up at all it pulls cleanly & doesnt miss a beat.

Well done fella thats me getting me hands dirty with a little help from me manual.
