i'd say the answer is in this picture tony, at a guess i'd say only half of that tank in the background holds fuel and the other half is where the air gets in via the air scoops. finally someone has put the scoops to use.

It is a reshaped carbon tank. The wite one in my pics is a converted oem Honda part.

Thanks michael, nice work there.
Did you make the underside of the OEM honda tank smaller or just add the tubes?
I love the way your using the ram air tubes for the intake, have you tested this method against the traditional ram air feed from under the headstock? Ive always thought a central single air feed is prefered to the twin setup but on a RVF using the twin air ducts is very trick

How do you know the size\volume of the airbox wouldn't be too big ?

That is the dogs dangles mate, whilst on the subjuct does anyone know how to best prep a tank before cutting holes in it and welding without blowing myself up?
