What is and why?JC120 wrote:I ran this idea by Dan Kyle at Kyle racing, one of the top suspension guys here in California and was told this is a bad idea for various reasons.
I have the shock set to 310mm in length and use a constant rate spring. I have the HRC linkage hence the 500lbs spring and run a 17" wheel. Not got round to setting sag etc yet but my bum dyno tells me the 500lbs spring is more suited to my weight.krisztian_andre wrote:Drunkn Munky wrote:No idea but im 75kg with kit and have gone for a 500lbs spring, i originally fitted a 600lbs but it felt very stiff even without riding it. I am using a ohlins shock tho not a BMW one.[/quote
How long is the shock, how much preload is on it now, what sag is set, is it a linear constant diameter spring, what linkage is fitted, nc30 or nc35, what size is the wheel?
Sorry for the million questions.
mine touches on the abba stand but on its own weight its ok, and then when loaded with my fat ass its fine, im assuming your chain is at the right tension,Sharkbait wrote:Hi guys, has anyone had any exhaust/swing arm clearance issues with the s1000 shock fitted with the Rick Oliver HRC link? I've installed mine and the collector to connect to the rear pipe/can touches the swing arm now (admittedly the bike is still suspended by the frame from a car lift so no weight is on the shock to compress it. I'll try get a decent photo during the week.
