I will let you test this one! I am well short on funds and I don't think my Shinkos are going to wear out anytime soon. Don't really know if that is a good or bad thing

Delivery to the uk is free on over 50 pounds, so 60 pounds air freight on top of that sounds about right? Ems air freight of a fairings box was 50 pounds...(this would be a similar size just heavier) even with 15% Gst on top of that comes to 457....

treads only has one set of gpr200's at 580 fitted, but just checked with aj, he can do a 90 rear and 03 front or alpha 10's for 500 fitted, an the same price for alpha 10's fitted (or 12's at 600 fitted) which would be Cheaper when considering 30$/tyre fitting..depends on life vs money I guess, 10$ cheaper and quicker for aj and track tyres, or longer but get the tyres you want from overseas and 10-20$ more, or treads where you have to wait around for the day to get a tyre fitted and 80$ more expensive...

Someone here mentioned the 003 taking a long time to heat up (ZR rather than HR of the BT090) so that may be an issue. I'm keen to hear about the Dunlop Sportsmart alpha 13/14 HR, as these are the right size and rating for the NC30. If I don't get BT090s from overseas the Dunlops will be my first choice. Note that the Alpha 13 replaces the Alpha 12.

The BT003RS is the replacement for the the 090 and designed for 400cc bikes with 4.5" rear rim. I'm yet to try them but I've heard excellent reports from owners.

Only thing is they don't do an 18" rear. I've got spare rvf rims which will be fitted with a pair of these.

For what it's worth the zr rating has never put me off fitting tyres with this rating to 400's, lesser powered learner bikes here in Oz are fitted with zr tyres from the factory. Each to their own I guess.

Hi everyone.
My friend has an NC30 and it needs new tyres front and back. She's got a spare front Bt014 120/60/17. Are these any good and can I get a matched rear for it. She's a fairly fast road rider and will be doing her first track days this year, and rarely rides in the wet. Any help would be great. Cheers.

I think you will struggle to get a matching tyre for the back and a BT014 may not get warm enough, they're designed for heavier bikes. You'd be better with a set of BT090's or 92's

I've got the 17" RVF rear wheel on my NC30 and just fitted a new set of Michelin 2CT power 3's. Many people recommend the Pirelli Corsa's but I've never been a big fan of Pirelli's. I've had Michelins my bikes for more than 10 years, so decided to stick with familiar rubber. I'll let you know how they feel when I get the bike on track.
