I have RVF pistons on VFR rods in my NC30. The pistons are the same except for the weight. The RVF are lighter. Check out the akhara site, Mike L. has some great info on there!

I have both sitting on my bench right now. The NC35 pistons are only marginally lighter then the NC30 ones. The main difference seems to be the skirt design which allows the wrist pin to be shorter on the 35's. I think this is where the main weight saving is.

For some reason i thought the rvf pistons were higher compression?

Went to see a friend today to buy some wheels for my 3ma and in the corner was this

Its a lightweight wheel off a Honda rs250, i know it will be running backwards and looks rough but hopefully once crack tested i can use it as a wet rear. If not im gonna stick a clock in the center of it and hang it on the wall

Not had a tape over it yet but it looks about a 5". Perfect for a 165 wet.
I cant believe how light it is mate. It makes the Dymag feel heavy!

That's what I have heard, but looking at the volume of the tops compared to the30's then it isn't a huge difference. When I start reassembling mine I'll measure the CCV with both installed and come up with some numbers so we'll know exactly how much of a difference there is.

rvf pistons raise the compression on nc29 engines, perhaps that's what caused the confusion?

A friend of mine checked the part numbers on the 30/35 pistons and turns out they are the same.
