Thanks, I was just a little paranoid because of the flash rust in the tank. I guess I could try to run without it and see how it goes.viper_biker wrote:Good job. This is coming together quite quickly, although there is no nee for the fuel filet as there is one in the tap.

Ditto on the filter, see above. I don't know about fastest rebuild, if it was up to me I would be working on it daily and have it together in no time. It's hard with work, wife, and 2 little children to get the time to work on it. Every time I sneak into the garage I called back out to do something else. I may get my wish though as the wife and kids may be going away this weekend, and I'll be working on the bike all weekend long. Might be a double bonus cause they are going to Miami and hopefully my body panels are going to be done and ready for pick up!!!!!! Believe it or not I don't drink coffee, tea, or any caffeine. I wake up slooooooowly with orange juice or water.Carlos wrote:Ace work as usual Jeff, and as viper says the tap filter will be sufficient and an additional one may mess up your fueling. Fastest super rebuild ever too, might get some pics of mine together and running in about thirty years if I'm still around, whatever brand of coffee you drink I think I need a couple of kilos. Keep it up amigo. :)
Funny story, my wifes Aunt Jean comes over every year from England and the entire time she is here all I ever hear is "Cup of tea?" "Cup of tea?" "Cup of tea?" So one time I say, "Aunt Jean how many cups of tea do you drink per day?" She says, "I don't know, I don't count them, but I probably drink about 3-4 pots of tea per day." I say "Well, how many cups in a pot?" She says "about 5 or 6." I shout "Bloody hell!!!! That's like 20 cups of tea!!!!" She says, "Yes, Black English Tea, not the sissy Lipton tea you have in the states." I said "Do you know how much caffeine you are drinking??????" She says, "Why? Is that bad for you?" LOL I said "Just don't EVER stop, you'll have an instant coronary or stroke!"

I guess you are just a naturally manic mechanic, and if coffee and tea are off the menu it looks like we'll be drinking beer if you wanna hook up next time you are in the UK.RVFHooligan wrote: Believe it or not I don't drink coffee, tea, or any caffeine. Thanks for the replies mates, Homer says "Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Beer!"
Everytime I think I am being a little too compulsive with this build I come across something like this and it reinforces what I am doing. Did the front master cylinder late last night and as you can see it was in slightly rough shape. My goal is to make the bike as close to new as possible, so every little bit counts. Will do the rear master tonight. Tired as hell this morning................................"Where did I put that Black English Tea?"
You might be able to tell on the last pic, but the kit I bought said "Fits all Hondas". Yeah right, all Hondas EXCEPT gray market import Hondas. The piston assembly is a different size/bore as is the rubber seals, so I used some of the new and old parts to complete the rebuild.

Hell while you are there and after you've got it in bits and polished you may as well visit Slick to get it rebuilt.
