That was a stunning bike, really feel for ya. I sent mine down the road at 60+ and there was far less damage.
Off topic, but how is Odiham? I'm a Gen Tech M, and I was thinking of Odiham or Benson as a first posting, as anywhere's gotta be better than St. Athan

Andy - Odiham is ok - been here for 7 years or so now! Not sure about how good it is for your trade. We spend alot of time away supporting the helicopters all over the world, but mostly in Afghanistan.
Both Odiham and Benson have bike clubs and run track days every year as well as mopedathons!
Paul - Odiham has its runway and peritrack which a couple of times a year gets converted for the day to turn it into a track. It incorporates the main runway which is about 1 mile long then a number of taxiways to make a complete track. the surface is uber grippy too!!
The pit area is the aircraft pan. which has a burger van and a tyre truck should you need it!
Its a good cheap day out - £60 usually - £10 membership and £50 for the day - half of which is usually donated to a local charity.

Re: The NC30 thread! - I've dropped it :-(
Right - I've been doing a bit of this and that to the bike to get it back on the road -
I have fitted the new bars, grips, R&G's (Non drill type of course!) Taken the tank and fairing to the painters to get sorted, fitted the switch gear, repaired the exhaust end can (still a bit to do to the link pipe) fitted the new rear sets, aquired all the parts needed for the GSXR flywheel mod by G-Force Performance. And alot of little bits and bobs of tidying and cleaning up again.
I found I had to charge the battery as it was totally flat (1 Volt on my meter!) and further investigation found a blown fuse in the amongst all the fuses - not sure why this happen in the off? - Any ideas?
So to fund all these replacement parts I have put a few bits for sale in the For Sale section - CDI, HRC derestrictor, 17" 090 Tyre, Crash bungs (drill fairing type), Spare seat pads, mudguard, etc....
It won't be too long before its all sorted - I recon the longest part will be the fairing panels to be repaired as my mate who is doing them has loads of work on and I don't want to rush him!
The next longest bit will be sorting the new flywheel/stator which I can't wait to get fitted. Mike Normans Kit/adaptor plate looks very trick and its almost a shame to hide it in the engine!!
Oh and the Track day at work on the Airfield is on the 8th of June - just a normal monday - come along if you want (more details in the rideout/rackdays/events section.
Cheers for now
