well, good knews! bike is alive, got it to start today, and been riding for the past half hour. and not a single problem what so ever, mechanically. a few electrical problems. like the rear light works, but the brakes wont activate the secondary (brighter red) light. so need to check up on that. and thats about it.

ooh.. darm almost forgot... shitty jamming problem is still there., but fortunatley it didnt jam on me while trying to start the bike. it seems to only do it if its been raining, or left over night and trying to start it during the morning.

i need a new battery. as my V shows as 13.45v at 5k rpm. it does have to be 14+v at 5k rpm or above right? correct me if im wrong.

(btw the jamming issues is not the battery fault, this is my second battery, and when i bought it from new, the jamming was still there.)

...there may be hope yet....

EDIT: i removed carbs, drained what ever was in it. cleaned jets, checked the diaphragm, cleaned all, replaced. then popped the carbs back in, installed my new throttle cables.

There's an adjuster for the brake light near the heat shield- just follow the wire from the brake pedal. Tighten that a bit and then depress the brake pedal, the light should come on.

the front brake switch doesnt work either. neither does the rear. il check that too, but i think its got something to do with the actual rear light unit. the cable was in a pretty bad shape.

Might just be your bulbs, it has two filaments, one for the standard light and one for the brake light, I had both mine go on me when I stupidly replaced the fuse for them with a higher rated one.

OK - bulbs are dead so that is an easy fix.

the locking - that is probably hydraulic lock, as was mentioned before...try to be sure no fluids, water fox piss or fuel is getting into the bike.

hmm okay, how can i make sure that i am not getting any of that inside the bike. and one more thing, if it was hydraulic lock, wouldn't the jamming be there permanently and not sometimes?

Excuse me if i havent kept up here but isnt this your second new battery? Have you checked the rest of the electrical system? id assumed you had given how long you've been having these problems.
