Re: Diffrent types of Gaskets?
yeah well my rear manifold is connected to the heads using the correct ones as i had 2 spare , (slightly thicker with cloth type stuff between copper rings) but the front pipes are connected using the same as in your pic as is the rear pipes to the manafold , all seems ok

Re: Diffrent types of Gaskets?
hmm okay. itl probably be fine...i am having trouble keeping theese in place though..they just slip off by the time i get the pipes connected. anyway of keeping them in place? because the cylinder heads are facing pretty much downwards the gaskets keeps on falling down

ahh oaky :D i get what you mean now. yeah i tried that but its limited space in the rear manifold :\. il try again tomorrow when i can actually be bothered to do it :D you think i could maybe use some heavy oil to make it stick on it? obviously it has to be non flammable oil! :D

yeah rear manifold to cylinder head , they can be a pain to slot in , just gotta keep trying, mine was easy as i didnt have the rear shock or swingarm in the way when i fitted the manafold

Re: Diffrent types of Gaskets?
use a dab of silicon mastic, or a dab of grease push the seal in the exhaust port it will hold the seal in place for you to put the pipes in.xivlia wrote:hmm okay. itl probably be fine...i am having trouble keeping theese in place though..they just slip off by the time i get the pipes connected. anyway of keeping them in place? because the cylinder heads are facing pretty much downwards the gaskets keeps on falling down
