Got it all apart now and the larger bearing was bone dry! Feels a lot better now I filled it full of grease

Fingers crossed that will improve things considerably. Got to be good for a hp or two too

Still waiting on rear hub bearing parts, however the steering damper is now the other way round courtesy of a bracket from Rick Oliver.

Not only does it look much better that way round in my opinion, but it also means it's not hitting my knee or fingers anymore and also makes it much easier to get to the choke lever

Awesome bike mate and some awesome work done there. Looks just like mine, even down to the black forks (I actually prefer these to the silver ones), except mine has powder coated black wheels too.

Glad you're enjoying the bike. Ever since I got mine years ago and started servicing etc I knew it was a keeper :-). I don't mind getting another bike (SP2 on the wish list!) but think i'll always keep the NC.

Keep up the good work mate

Hmmm, new parts.
My new fairings should be waiting for me when I get home.

Yours is looking good, I like the damper repositioning bracket thing, does that keep it far enough away from the dials still?

Cheers. Yep, slightly tricky to fit the first time but once there it clears everything. Just. Have put the measurements for what I think is the perfect mounting location in the thread in the V4 section.

Have put the front ride height back to standard as finding it a bit 'keen' now that the taller profile BT090s are on, together with the rear being raised. Test ride tomorrow.
